E. Ellis Allen

Welcome to my author’s page without the delusions of grandeur and third-person talk. I’d like to present myself as a noble lighthouse guiding you through tumultuous times but know that most likely that blinding light cutting through the dark is my cellphone stuck on flashlight mode.  Still, I’ve honed my writing skills for over a decade, nurturing what I call my literary superpowers.

These powers manifest in my storytelling through three distinct channels:

Visceral storytelling immerses you deep into the heart of emotions and experiences. Intuitive understanding of the human psyche connects with readers on a profound level, while my Conceptual prowess offers insights to navigate life’s complexities.

Spanning various genres and themes, I invite you to explore my diverse body of work, to embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth, to understand the depths of human emotion and our existence with the beauty of storytelling.

In Fiction, I take you on expeditions through vivid landscapes, introducing captivating characters and embarking on poignant adventures. My Novels, set in Contemporary Fiction, feature relatable characters in extreme circumstances that reflect real-world experiences, allowing readers to explore universal themes.

Within my Short Stories, I offer quick but powerful flashes of insight, often with a hair-raising touch of Horror that investigates the very essence of humanity. My Screenplays focus on the intimate details, attitudes, and seemingly small lives of its characters through beguiling bent-genre tales to entertain the audience and allow for introspection.

In Nonfiction, I draw from real-life experiences and shared perceptions to offer compelling, humorous, and practical guidance through personal Essays, Commentaries, Articles, and Memoirs that stand as testaments of resilience and inspiration.

Why do I write?

Whether it’s the comforting embrace of fiction or the enlightening wisdom of nonfiction, I believe in the transformative power of words. In each story, you’ll find a glimmer of hope, a path forward, or a moment of respite.

And as for me personally, I am happily married and a mother of two, with a murderous plot driven and bilingual Chiweenie dog, living in the shadow of Utah’s Wasatch Mountains.
